Failure.(serious rant) feel free to skip
The other night as me and Andrea were chillin @ coffee society she asked me what do I fear the most.
In my mind the Rolodex, flipped violently before settling on one of my oldest advesaries. Ms. Failure....
In the past Ms.failure and I have had a love/hate relationship.
Ms. Failure would show up, consequently I would fail and then I would laugh, learn and move on.
The ol eye of the tiger.
Failure loves to see you fail, and Fail I did.
but...
I loved to see failure hate that I would overcome her mind games.
unfortunately being a tad bit older than me she had the upper hand.
She was merely feeding her pawns to my rooks.
and before I knew it.... Check
I don't know what day exactly but I do know that it was right after I had my cancer freeing surgery.
At first I fought! Then I declared her the winner and left on my own accord, out to prove her wrong again.
For a time I did.
needless to say I was a little melancholy knowing that she was waiting for me to face her again..
Well lets just say that all those years of not caring have finally caught up with me.
She knows.
Now she stands behind me, whispering her deceit into my ear, as I stand facing the edge of the board..
but I made promises to two people who I love.
One is My daughter. Anastasiya
One of them is gone.
but my love is true, and I will keep those promises made to each of them.
The moment we stop believing in one another is when Failure tends to strike hard.
So I have drawn a Line in the sky.
Ms. Failure will not take me alive.
